October 21, 2010 by MartinB. | 1:56 pm

Hello Bene! Tell us about who you are, where you from and whats your daily business.

Hello my name is Bene Müller and i’am from Fürstenfeldbruck near Munich. I’am 15 years old and I’am at the middle school in Fürstenfeldbruck and i will have my graduation next year. I love Fingerboarding for 3 1/2 year now and i also like to skate, film and hangin around with the cattix crew!

How do you get in touch with fingerboarding?

Fingerboarding ruined my live ! I love Fingerboarding more as every other Hobby i have. I’am really happy that i started this Hobby some years ago. I like the atmospheare at the contest, jams and events where you meet friends and new guys in the scene. It’s awsome to have a chilled session or film a Fingerboard video too. Without Fingerboarding I wouldnt know the most of my friends so this is more than just a sport, its a lifestyle!

Whats your current setup?

My current setup is a Brody davis Yellowood (one of my favorite YW’s) with y-trucks united and winkler wheels.

What is your favorite trick?

My favorite trick is a clean 360flip. I love that trick regular, fakie, switch and nollie and in every combination with grinds, slides or manuels!

Do you have any favorite rider or a video that influenced you?

Nic Herzog and Boris Dietschi are the Fingerboarders who always inspired me since i’am Fingerboarding because they have their own style and set new standards in Fingerboarding. Another guy who inspire me all the time is my good friend Daniel Zeise. The fingerboarding video that mostly influenced me is the Nic Herzog rail jam video.

Which fingerboard experience you liked the most (contest/jam/session)?

I mostly liked the Fingaspektakel event because my favorite Fingerboarders where there and it was such a good atmosphere at the whole contest.

And finally do you want to thank someone?

Yes of course ! I want to thank Philippe de Goyri and his brother for the awsome sponsoring. I want to thank to Mike Watzel for supporting us all the time. Keep Cattapult alive ! And i want to thank the Cattix crew for all the good sessions and my best friendship ever ! And also big thanks to Fingerboard.tv for this interview and keeping me up to date all the time.

Thanks for the Interview!

THX Bene!

FBTV Interview – Joaquin Méndez0

October 20, 2010 by MartinB. | 6:58 am

Hello Joaquin! Tell us about who you are, where you from and whats your daily business.

Hey, I’m Joaquin, I’m 17 years old. I live in Paris, France, where I study and practice art in a school called the Atelier de Sèvres. I like to draw, film, edit movies or videos. I also like skateboarding and hanging out with nice people, partying, and all the things in the life of a student…

How do you get in touch with fingerboarding?

Well I’ve been fingerboarding for 3 years now, and as time goes by, I realize that fingerboarding is becoming something big for me. Even after trying to practice it less, I still getting back to it, so I guess I have kind of an addiction to fingerboarding. At first it was fascination and challenge, now it’s more of discovering. I can’t really put words on what links me to fingerboarding, but it’s just that I didn’t finish creating things, so I keep on doing my thing.
I could say it’s also the friends I made out of it, but this is something different and apart, fingerboarding is a solitary activity for me.

Whats your current setup?

At the moment I ride a complete Berlinwood Elias Assmuth 2009 with FBS extra-smooth on it.

What is your favorite trick?

Tough one ! What can I say ? Any trick ! Just follow my videos, You’ll know the tricks I like at the moment, and you will be here for the next ones.
Right now I’m really into shifty flips, late flips, layback slides and flatground tricks generally.

Do you have any favorite rider or a video that influenced you?

Nic (Herzog) and Steffen (Bronsert) really inspire me, and I really appreciate Julien’s, Kai Dörfler’s and Nico Honermann’s style. But no one influences me.

Which fingerboard experience you liked the most (contest/jam/session)?

Fast Fingers 13 was my best experience. There is not much to say, if you’ve already been to Fast Fingers, you’ll understand why.

And finally do you want to thank someone?

I really want to thank Jeff and Jérôme, the masterminds of Spinal.fr and DUST concrete for their support. I’d also like to thank Ben from Ambrosia (deck company now named Leaf fingerboards, buy them !), Andre from Lowpro, Steffen and Fabian for being nice people. And I don’t know, Quentin for being such a weasel all these years…
For the rest of you who are my friends and that I can’t mention because I’m too lazy, you know who you are.

Mind if I do some advertisment? Go watch Nico and Steffen’s videos !
Nico : http://www.youtube.com/user/uhupatafix

Steffen : http://www.youtube.com/user/Stefffets

And finally thanks everyone simply because I feel cheerful right now. ;) Go get some chicks…I mean go fingerboard!

THX Joaquin!
