Hello Burgo! Tell us about who you are, where you from and what’s your daily business.
– Hey, I’m Philippe Burger and live near Frankfurt (Germany). I’m currently going to school and in 2 years I’ll graduate from highschool. Iam the owner of Burgodecks and a member of the Shit Hessens Crew.
How do you get in touch with fingerboarding?
– I found fingerboarding interesting since I knew it… 5 years ago a friend of mine gave me a Mickey Mouse fingerboard but I lost it pretty soon. 2 years later I bought some really cheap fingerboards on ebay (they didn’t even had real griptape, it was just painted on haha) and learned the Ollie. At that time I desperately wanted to have a Techdeck and didn’t even know about the scene, wooden decks or even bearingwheels! My first woodendeck was a Closeup 1G, I got it at Christmas 2007. My first contact to the scene was in summer 2008 in Frankfurt, it was an awesome jam!
Whats your current setup?
– My current setup is a Burgodeck with BRtrucks and Winklerwheels BRedition
What is your favorite trick?
– Hard to say… probably bs bigspins nollieflips, nollie bigspinflips and sw tres
Do you have any favorite rider or a video that influenced you?
– Well there are so many riders out there who have a great style and make really good videos… It would be kinda unfair to pick out only a few :P
Which fingerboard experience you liked the most (contest/jam/session)?
– Of course my very first experience, the Frankfurt summerjam back in 2008 and Wikingercup vol II. It was such a familial event, I really enjoyed it! Another awesome event was the Bigminicontest in Emmendingen (In the very south of Germany). It was my first contest and Katha, Marc and Me founded the Shit Hessens Crew!

– I want to thank every single person from the Shit Hessens Crew, Blackriver, FBTV, and basically every person I had a great time with.
