Product Blog: Sorry For Fingerboarding – Grosso Deck

While listening to “Story of My Life” performed by Social Distortion I´m starting this product blog. Today we will take a look at the second (of three) fingerboard deck from SORRY FOR FINGERBOARDING straight outta California. I´ve been in Cali once in my life and after beeing in the USA it´s my favorite part.

I´ve met Nash & Nash not in Cali. I´ve met them in Berlin at the night before the ASI Berlin No.10. Before this event weekend we were just in touch on Instagram because we´re all into cycling and pure carbon porn. But this is not about cycling it´s about SORRY FOR FINGERBOARDING. The whole SORRY FOR FINGERBOARDING thing is pushing fingerboarding sooo much into the right direction that I would say the hotspot of fingerboarding is in Cali at the moment. Big sessions going on at Grinderz and even the Fingerboard US Championschips. It´s great to see that there is such a big movement over in the US. The leading part in this game is played by Nash & Nash. Let´s call these guys gamechanger.

So if these guys are gamechanger and bringing a whole new motivation into fingerboarding it makes sense, that these guys produce reissue decks of legends. This time we have some legendary Jeff Grosso Anti Hero reissue. Jeff Grosso is a true legend in Skateboarding. If you don´t know him then just Google him. We will have a look at the deck NOW:

I´ve nerver been into smoking at all but I think Grosso is just loving it. In several interviews he talked about it and I think he is just in love with smoking. Like we in Germany say “Jede Jeck is anders.”

The graphic on the bottom ply is a real wear fingerboard graphic. The bottom ply is in some nice and shiny green colored wood and combined with this with this colorful graphic it´s really an eyecatcher. I really like the look of this deck because it reminds me on skateboarding decks back in the days. Oldschool decks were never fully printed like new school decks. Always some wood combined with a graphic. So this makes this deck even more realistic.

The plies on this deck are true blue. The overall shape of this deck is more low than medium and nose and tail got some bowl shredder shape. This deck is not “that” classic double kick fingerboard. The craftmanship and holes are perfect. You won´t regret buying a deck from SORRY and you are an up to date mofo with a SORRY deck. These decks are rare, so get one if possible. Where to get?
