Product Blog: TonicWood – Alien Head

May 21, 2018 by MartinB. | 10:47 am

Four weeks ago I´ve recieved a letter from Serbia. I´m soooo sorry the review took so long, but as I told you in the last product blogs, if you have a baby you can´t plan your weekends at all. Shame on me! I´m really sorry for the delay. I promise the next blogs will be up quicker than this time.

As I said, a letter from Serbia arrived at my house. Well, this is the first time in the history of fingerboardTV that I present a fingerboard deck from Serbia to the audience. Great to see that more countries in Europe have a fingerboard scene. The package was sent by Ognjen Hadži-Tonić. Ognjen has founded his fingerboard company TonicWood in 2014 in Belgrade. Belgrade is the capital city of Serbia.

This letter includes three decks in three boxes and today we will take a look at the first one:

TonicWood - Alien

Shape:

TonicWood - Alien

All boards are about 98x32mm with the nose being slightly longer and steeper than the tail for a more realistic look and feel.

TonicWood is not a young company anymore, so you expect a perfect fingerboard. And really, this fingerboard is perfect. The wood has some really solid and strong color. The graphic is a real wear graphic and scratches while using. The bottom ply of this deck is lasered and the holes are drilled perfect into the wood. Just check out the pictures I did in XXL = you won´t find an unperfect edge on this deck. All the boards are about 98x32mm with the nose being slightly longer and steeper than the tail for a more realistic look and feel. TRUE. The shape looks clean, perfect and realistic! If you don´t like the graphic, just geat a graphic you like. TonicWood offers a lot of different graphics. Even lasered bottoms are available.

Every deck comes in a paperbox including a sheet of tape, stickers and a super cool wooden keychain. Within the next few days we will take a look at two more decks from TonicWood – stay tuned!
