Hello Sterling! Tell us about who you are, where you from and whats your daily business.

Hello! My Name is Sterling Reed, I am 20 years old and I am the founder of Reed Ramps! I am from Laguna Beach California and daily business consists of getting in the shop for around 6 hours a day and spending another 2 hours working on the computer.

How do you get in touch with fingerboarding?

I got started fingerboarding and skateboarding at the same time actually! I moved to a new school in the 3rd grade and after school the cool kids in my grade were using tech decks and skateboarding and as soon as they let me try I was hooked.

What plans do you got for 2020/2021?

My company got started because I had just just finished building a real skate setup in my backyard, and wanted to make a fingerboard replica with the scrap wood! My little brother @ridge.fb suggested that I try to make more ramps after that one and asked if I thought I could sell them. I made a crappy park using plywood, and jigsaw, and hot glue, and posted it on Instagram and people actually liked the design! This was 3 years ago and I’ve loved making ramps ever since.

Is this your daytime job?

This is my daytime job! I’m working on another company as we speak (you guys will see that soon!) after the work for the day is done, and I also do commercial acting and modeling.

Whats your current setup?

Current setup is a Stacked 32mm with Dynamic Trucks and Flatface G4 Wheels

Do you have any „sneak-preview“ for 2020/2021?

My goals for 2021 include more park designs! I have received great feedback for offering mid sized parks at the lower end in terms of price. Designing Parks is one of my favorite aspects of this business and finishing the final physical manifestation of the design is incredibly rewarding. Sneak preview of a highly requested wave ramp dropping soon! New park designs are dropping soon as well!

Which fingerboard experience you liked the most (contest/jam/session)?

I love any in person fingerboard event! I skateboarded competitively all growing up so I love me a good contest. Huge shoutout to Nash Jr. & Nash Sr. (@sorryforfingerboarding) and George (@socalg8sessions) for keeping the event and contest scene alive in California!

And finally do you want to thank someone?

And lastly I would like to thank my little brother @ridge.fb for being so involved in the scene and being a loyal rider for Reed Ramps, and Scott from @DynamicFB for keeping the scene professional and taken seriously, true inspiration.

THX a lot Sterling! You guys should hop over to Instagram now and follow: @reedramps
