About Bastl Boards. This brand is a skateboard and longboard brand from Leipzig, Germany. At Bastl Boards the mantra is quite simple: have fun skating. Bastl thinks that no rider should have their skate progress hindered by their deck, which is why they absolutely take a quality over quantity philosophy to our production. With three different collections to choose from they back up riders of all styles, skill sets, and attitudes. Together with their team riders who are located all over the world we’re constantly working on new constructions and shapes. Prototyping and being on top of the notch is a big part of the brand’s philosophy. Since day one they continously collaborate with local artists who help us making our decks so unique. Everytime we develop a new construction or reshape the models they ask an artist to design the whole collection. Why not comprehend a skate shop as a gallery? Skateboards are the perfect platform to present art from the streets on the streets. Bastl Boards, founded in 2008, is indeed a family business.

Three-hundred and sixty degrees of perfected styles. Like everything what Timo does. Great work, again! While doing fingerboardTV for the last “few” years I´ve received a lot of different decks. Product Blog: Berlinwood X ASI Berlin – ASI NO.10
August 5, 2018 by MartinB. | 3:06 pm
Fresh meat on sunday! YEAH FUCK YEAH!
Berlinwood Fingerboards was founded by Timo in 2002 in a time when plastic was the most common fingerboard. Handcrafted 5 ply decks available to everybody distributed by the strongest influence to the scene… Blackriver-Ramps! I still remember ordering my first ever Berlinwood. It was around 2002/2003 and I´ve ordered a maple bottom Berlinwood directly from Timo. Since I started fingerboarding I got countless Berlinwood. Fresh wood, later on super fresh graphic decks. Timo did and does a great job. It´s hard to tell you everything Timo has done for fingerboarding. It´s not only having a brand, it´s about being a nice guy, pushing the scene forward and having goodtimes listening to Wu-Tang.
Timo does a lot of special decks for special events. I really like this fact. This is another good reason to go to fingerboard events as often as you can. But I´m sorry for all the people from the outside of Berlin who can´t afford a journey to ASI Berlin or the ASI Berlin Store. Let´s say this first: you won´t get a chance to buy this deck. I´m sorry! All the decks were given away by Timo. BUT you can buy some awesome Berlinwood graphic decks in every width and every shape you like. Just hop over to the Blackriver-Ramps webshop or go to the ASI Berlin Store.
So today we will have a look on the Berlinwood ASI NO.10 special deck:
Shape:
Due to the different prefers of fingerboarders today, BerlinWood comes in 2 different concaves “classic” and “low”. Both variations are available in every width. Choose what you like when you buy your next Berlinwood at the Blackriver webshop.

And one more:
At the moment it is just hot in Germany. I think this is the first real summer for years. Checking out that deck you can really feel the heat of this summer and the heat of the ASI Berlin No.10 contest. You missed this? Well check out my contest Video right over here:
Lets check out the deck? Well, it´s a Berlinwood. this means the highest standard in the fingerboard business. Everything is lasered into that jawbreaker full heat bottom ply. A Berlinwood is just precisely like a swiss clock. Apart from being manufactured by professionals the fingerboards are “100% handmade in Germany“. I don´t think I need to tell you something about the Berlinwood quality. Nearly every fingerboarder knows it. The decks got solid colors and are just highend fingerboard decks. You wont regret to buy a Berlinwood ever. I think 99% of all the fingerboarder knows about this.
As I allready told you, these decks are not for sale. Just go to FBS, ASI Berlin Store or Blackriver and buy a Berlinwood you like! THANKS a lot for this deck, Timo!

Product Blog: Berlinwood – TKY´s hidden cupcake
November 12, 2017 by MartinB. | 12:58 pm
See me ride out of the sunset
On your colour TV screen
Out for all that I can get
If you know what I mean
Women to the left of me
And women to the right
Ain’t got no gun
Ain’t got no knife
Don’t you start no fight
‘Cause I’m TKY, I’m dynamite
(TKY) and I’ll win the fight
(TKY) I’m a power load
(TKY) watch me explode…..
In february 2017 I´ve received a package from Timo Kranz. He just wanted to say “Thank You” and sent me something special. This piece of art wasn´t available in february. It was generated together with Catita. So in my opinion the name “the hidden cupcake” fits perfect to this board. So lets have a look at a good looking Berlinwood with the TKY Blackriver-Store homage graphic:
Why is this a homage? Well, I think the deck was created back then to celebrate all the stuff Timo did together with the Blackriver-Store Berlin for our scene. Lots of events went down, lots of good moments and the best place in Germany for fingerboarders from all over the world.
Shape:
33.3mm Berlinwood power! Everybody knows about it.
More:
Footage:
And one more:
I´ve kept this graphic as a secret for months now. I didn´t expect this will be ever available. Great to see that this board is available now. BUT, it´s only available in Berlin. Timo Kranz is now running the ASI Berlin Shop in Berlin now. It´s a independent fingerboard store with a new concept. Timo will work together with a lot of companies to create special products and collabos for our scene. And this Berlinwood is one of these items. At the moment it´s only available at the ASI Berlin Shop. If you can´t make it to the store you could dm Timo on instagram (@asi_berlin_shop) and facebook. Every sold item helps him to keep this place alive for fingerboarders from all over the world. The scene in Germany is getting much smaller in these days, so a place like this need global support.
The ASI Berlin online shop will be available soon. So the only way to order is on insta and facebook now. This and more new graphics are available as t-shirts too. As I said, just get in contact with Timo!
THX a lot for everything you´ve done for me and you´ve done for our scene. Keep fighting! (@asi_berlin_shop)

Product Blog: Berlinwood – Fast Fingers 19 Colorsplash Board
June 4, 2016 by MartinB. | 9:07 am
Fast Fingers 19 went down last week and I´m still sad I didn´t make it to the event. When Timo heard about that I won´t come he directly sent out a package for me as a “consolation”.
