When you think about Russia you think about the really cold winter, really good Vodka, beautiful girls and the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
It seems like fingerboarding in Russia too and it´s getting bigger and bigger. You still see a lot of new videos on YouTube of people you haven´t seen before and on instagram are even more russian fingerboard brands. So hopefully there is a growing scene in Russia, not only because of Corona. Every time I check out the ProFB shop website I see a lot of great products made by brands from Russia. Too bad I don´t understand the language on so many russian fingerboard websites. But Russia got great products too.
The last few time swe talked about Darkwood was about their latest and superb wheels. With these wheels Darkwood made a huge step forward. Now we will take a look at a fingerboard deck made by Darkwood. A deck!? Ya heard right. Today we will take a look at some super classic wood:

Product Blog: Zoom Fingerboards – FBTV Split
April 7, 2021 by MartinB. | 8:18 am
Belgium is well know for waffles, fries and if you´re into cycling you will probably know the tour de flandres. Now think about Belgium and fingerboarding. You´re thinking about the scene over there…. Well, not much right? But if you are an interested fingerboarder and you browse on Instagram, you probably came across ZOOM Fingerboards.
ZOOM Fingerboards are created by Andrea Digiorgio. Andrea lives in Belgium and besides his daytime responsibilities he´s into fingerboarding. Thats why he founded ZOOM.
Let´s have some fries and waffles now and take a look at a custom FBTV splitply deck made by Andrea:
Shape:
The shape is a low to medium one. It´s super clean and crisp. The deck is super thin and super strong with a huge load of pop. The Ply-Game is just on point, I mean, check that out:
The middle ply is even thinner than the other ones. Looks just perfect and performs superb. The bottom ply is in a solid blue with a ZOOM stamp. The countersinks are perfect, clean and straight.

And one more:
I´m using this deck for a couple of months now and I´m really happy with it. I really like the shape, the colors, just everything. A strong and reliable fingerboard is just what you need.
In 2020 Zoom fingerboards has changed the production process and materials used to create fingerboards. Everything started from the willing of produce less waste possible, and in particular also to avoid chemicals and polluting materials. So this is not a graphic deck, it is a solid and super well done splitply fingerboard deck with a mix of really aesthetical colored wood. Each deck @ Zoom is made with selected woods, pressed and glued with a non-toxic and water based glue, that give a strong pop and structure to the board, as well as water resistance.
The final glossy touch is made with a coating based on natural oil, 3 times in order to protect the wood and at the same time extract his original color and lightness.
You get such a neck in a lttle paperbox. The packaging is 100% made of certified recycled paper and card boards, and the final envelope is made of grass and recycled paper. YOu guys know my opinion about a fancy package and everything. Andrea has done it right.
All these features together give to the final product a more eco-friendly while keeping the idea and passion behind fingerboarding.
So if you don´t know ZOOM Fingerboards up to now, you should check them right here:

Up to now some collabs with ZOOM Fingerboards went down. For example the ZOOM X AXE Ramps collabs with crazy green splits. Andrea is no unknown in the european fingerboard scene and if you don´t know his and his prouct yet, just give him a follow.
HUGE shout out to ANdrea for giving me this great fingerboard deck and even some bigger massive huge shoutout to Andrea for treating this planet right.
