Hello Lukas! Tell us about who you are, where you from and whats your daily business.
– I’m Lukas Junk, almost 18 years old and i am originally from a small village in the west of Germany, called Freudenburg. I am currently studying chemistry in Saarbrücken in the third semester.
How did you get in touch with fingerboarding?
– So, i started skateboarding in 2003. A friend of me then showed me a TechDeck (G10), but we both didn’t really know what to do with it. I believe that he gave me my first TechDeck (Lance-Mountain-Graphic) and the “Generation 10” poster from Techdeck. Back then i couldn’t imagine that something like the Hardflip Late Flip, which i saw on the poster (it was a sequence from Boris Dietschi) was possible on a small fingerboard! Now i still can’t believe it hahaha!
I couldn’t do anything special on the deck except of ollies on the wall, thus the fingerboard lay in the corner for about 3 years, until i discovered fingerboarding on the internet in 2006. You can imagine the rest by yourselfs ;-)
Whats your current setup?
– Berlinwood decks, Riptape, Blackriver Trucks, one with Flatface Wheels, one with Winkler Wheels. But by now they don’t look as good as when i took the photo.
What is your favorite trick?
– That’s really hard to say. I like shove-its and variations of them a lot.
Do you have any favorite rider or a video that influenced you?
– There are so many cool dudes, who are all my favorites. Fabi Schreiter, Manu Oberle, Nic Herzog, Tim Teichert, Jeldo, Björn (though i’ve never really seen him fingerbaord) just to name a few.
Which fingerboard experience you liked the most (contest/jam/session)?
– Every fingerbaord experience is a great experience! Probably all of the times i was in Schwarzenbach were the “best” among them. Fast Fingers 12 was awesome. The christmas session last year was superb as well. Fast Fingers 13 would have been even more awesome with two healthy arms :D

– I would like to thank anyone who gave me a bed or just 2 square meters of floor to let me sleep there.
