Hello Dennis! Tell us about who you are, where you from and whats your daily business.
– Hey, my real name is Dennis Young, I am 26 years old, I live in Hannover (Germany) and ride for the NWDC and Flaked Team! In real life I am a team leader in a shop construction company.
How do you get in touch with fingerboarding?
– I had, like probably everyone at that time, a tech deck in school, but that disappeared relatively quickly. Many years later a friend came to me with a cheap 3 € fingerboard and gave it to me, because I was skateboarding. From that point I was completely addicted. I began to tune the little thing as good as I could and when I first met Fabian Sellemann , who introduced me to the world of “Pissing Fingers DVD’s, with the wooden decks and filming with the appropriate skills…I knew that I would never be able to get away from that shit again!
Whats your current setup?
– Flaked 4ply, Y-Trucks Matte X1 anf FlatFace G6
What is your favorite trick?
– bs flip, nollie varial heelflip, bigspinflip, kickflip backtail
Do you have any favorite rider or a video that influenced you?
– In any case, Tim Mo `fuckin` Pütz, Fabian Sellemann (who unfortunately does not ride anymore , but was far ahead of his time 5 years ago!) and everyone that has his own style and does not chase after any trick-trends or styles . Celebrate your neighbour but do not copy him … be your own style!
Which fingerboard experience you liked the most (contest/jam/session)?
– Unbeaten No. 1 the Wikingercup II 2009 … more family spirit is not possible! Fast Fingers ofcourse and the high five contest this year really stoked me! The NWDC makes every contest anyway into an experience beyond compare. Actually I don’t like contests that much though but I prefer having a nice little session hours long with my friends and some beer.

– Definitely Flaked, the NWDC homes, UFOH hannover, High Five Skateshop, FingerboardTV, Beer, Coffee and the Hand clinic Hannover who put my middle finger back together 3 years ago….more coffee, more style
