1. International Independent FingerFilmFest0

October 7, 2010 by MartinB. | 2:32 pm

While Schwarzenbach is known to be the template for the naming of streets and stores in the German translation of Donald Duck comics and is the home of Blackriver Ramps the only other significant thing to say about this region has to do with the world famous film festival in the city of Hof a few minutes away from BRR-city.

Stunned by the unique athmosphere during the film festival every single year we decided to participate in the next year with our own film project.

Needless to say, we had numerous films ready every year but dashed against registration paperwork and other rules.

2010 however we are in control of our own cinematic destiny. Blackriver Ramps and The Fingerboarder Magazine proudly present:

The First International FingerFilmFest

This DIY-film festival will give us the freedom to make our own rules and to put the focus of all movies on fingerboarding.

The festival will take place Oct. 30th with the starting shot at 3pm in a club called Grüne Haidt in the city of Hof.

During the afternoon we will show a lot of different fingerboard-films with a simultanous fingerboard-jamsession.

And this is where YOU can participate with your own movie.

Your feature has to have a lenght of 3-15 minutes, opening credits showing the title of the movie, closing credits, and the file format has to be AVI (best quality possible).

You will have to send us a downloadlink for the clip until Oct. 16Th:

info@blackriver-ramps.com

You are allowed to submit more than one movie if you like.

Our subjective jury will pick a multifaceted selection of all submitted clips to be shown during the FingerFilmFest.

To avoid standard fingerboard clips we have a few rules regarding the content and style for the submited movies:

The film fest motto: The hand is the main character not the fingerboarder!

Let the hand experience a real plot! Put some effort into the art aspect and design of the clip!

Watching the clips people should almost forget there is a human being connected to the hand ;-)

Sending us your link you agree the clip can be used for the festival and you declare you have the rights for the movie and the music used in it.

Around 8 pm the premiere of the two feature films will start:

*

We are Hongkong
*

Fingerboarding Ruined My Life

After that the Orange Vibes and some surprise Djs will accompany us through the night.

To make the cinema/film festival athmosphere even more tense and real Red Bull spends free popcorn and cola!! Thanks!

Attention to all minors: This is a public event taking place in a club. We and the club will comply with the law for the protection of children and youth.

Without a legal guardian you are not allowed in the club if you are younger than 16. If you are older than 16 but haven’t turned 18 yet you will have to leave at midnight if you are on your own without a legal guardian.

Please also inform yourself regarding the laws regulating who is allowed to drink beer, wine and other beverages and who is not!! We will follow theses laws! No exceptions will be made!!!
