Urban Talks: Reaper Fingerboard – Boardrails

March 4, 2017 by MartinB. | 8:14 am

Hey Folks, its ya boy Onkel Urban back at it again, with another review. So, there is this company called „Reaper Fingerboards“, that hit me up on Instagram. Before then, I had never heard of them.

At the moment, board rails are super trendy, thats why lots of company enter this business as well. But Reaper Fingerboards somehow stand out stands. Shaped boardrails are nothing new to me, but to see different shapes is always nice. So, as you may see those board rails are shaped like a bone.

Those boardrails are made with a 3D Printer, if you look really closely, you´ll see the lines of the 3D printer. It doesn’t bother me and it doesn’t effect your slide feeling negatively. So the Total length of those board rails is 44mm , 9mm wide and 1,5mm height.

The boardrails are coming with screw and are also avaible in different colors, i got white and black pretty basic but i like it. The screws are tiny so be careful when you set your boardrails up.

In total they are pretty well made compared to other companies and i think you wouldn’t regret to pick a set up. Im totally happy to have them and they going strong even after hard shred sessions!

Introducing the “Planter Bench”. Since the Pyramid Planter is fairly large and therefore will be more expensive than my usual obstacles, I designed this to be smaller and a bit more affordable. At 8″L x 4.5″W x 2.5″H this planter features the same smooth, long lasting round edges as the original bench and standard ledge.

Product Blog: Catfishbbq – The Shapes

March 2, 2017 by MartinB. | 5:03 pm

As I told you some days ago in the Catfishbbq product blog one & two, I will make a comparison for you guys about the Catfishbbq shapes. And today is the day so lets have a look at the Catfishbbq “saltwater” and “freshwater” shape:

Catfishbbq - Frshwater VS Saltwater

As you can see, the outline of the decks is nearly the same. The nose of the decks is flat on the top and the tail is a classic round tail. And look at these perfect drilled holes. You won´t see perfect drilled holes like this even in the teen p*rn section!

Saltwater ON Freshwater:

Catfishbbq - Frshwater VS Saltwater

The saltwater mold is about 33mm x 97.25mm.

Freshwater ON Saltwater:

Catfishbbq - Frshwater VS Saltwater

The freshwater mold is about 33mm x 97.25mm.

As you can see the saltwater shape is more like the low to medium shape and the freshwater shape is more like medium to high. The concave on both molds is well defined and got a really fluid transition into the kicks – doesn´t mater if fresh or salt! The decks are both 33mm wide and IN SHAPE like Heidi two weeks after giving birth!

And two more views:

Hopefully this was a litte help for you guys if you think about a Catfishbbq deck as your next setup. I think the pictures are good enough to check it out by yourself. Shapes are like science and soccer, everybody got an opinion. So choose what you like and have fun while shredding!

Catfishbbq decks are rare and some decks are in stock now. So be quick and get one right over here: Click!
