Some more days ago I´ve unboxed some Dislocation boardrails on the fingerboardTV insta livestream. In the livestream I´ve told the audience, that I prefere boardrails on cruiser decks more. Even if it´s hype and everything, I don´t like them on “normal” fingerboards. Well, long story short, after the livestream I´ve received a message from Grand Fingers . . .
So this is the second time in the history of fingerboardTV that I´ve received a package from Poland. In 2017 again, so maybe 2017 is going to be big in Poland? Hopefully the scene is growing. This time it´s a package from Grand Fingers.
If you don´t know Poland is a European country. There is a Polish/German boarder pretty close to Berlin. You guys outside Europe maybe know the biggest city of the country: Warschau. Or even if you´ve never heard about Poland as a country, everybody knows the Warschauer Straße in Berlin?!
Today I got the very first part of a package from Grand Fingers for you. A really nice Cruiser deck in some really warm wood:

This is a special shaped cruiser deck. 32mm width in the concave section and a little bit wider tail for perfect control. Short nose is long just enough for comfortable high nollie tricks.

This is a really well done deck. As you can see on the pictures the shape is well defined without any edges and a really nice colored bottom ply. The grand graphic is clean and sharp lasered/branded on the bottom ply. The graphic is quiet basic so this makes the wood even more outstanding. So in the next step I will mount some trucks and boardrails on this deck ☺
The deck comes with three sheets of tape in a little paper box. The box isn´t spectacular at all but the wood is spectacular as fuck. And I really like the fact that you get 3 sheets of tape with a deck. That’s a nice service!

Last Blackriver Store Berlin Session

“After this nerve-wracking day yesterday I think we need to clarify some things: This regards the Blackriver Store in Berlin, THIS IS NOT THE BLACKRIVER WEBSHOP, the company Blackriver-Ramps is not in financial difficulties‼️
The Blackriver Store Berlin was never run as a profit-orientated business but with a lot of Love for Fingerboarding and dedication to the Scene ❤️💛💚💙
The Store was only able to operate in the last 6 years through the generously and steady financial help of the company Blackriver Ramps 🙏🙌 the reasons why this support has been down-scaled are due to economics and have no business here. The reality now is that the BR-Store will have to close down along within the redundancy of the last employee, myself, on the 30.04.17💥 Nevertheless I don’t want that and will not close down the Store‼️
The crowdfunding is a project of Matt Watkinson and it was his own idea and on his own initiative. If we can achieve the goal of $5000 we´ll be able to open up the Store definitely through the summer so it will still be available for visitors and even more we’ll get the extra time and chance to continue working on a better and more permanent solution to keep this place alive!🙏❤️👊
We´ll continue our search for a company to sublet a part of the sales-room, as that will ensure the maintenance of the Blackriver Store Berlin is kept up to date and we cannot exclude the help of a permanent donation account too.
