Some weeks ago I´ve received a message on instagram. The message was sent by the owner of Blvckout Fingerboards. He asked me to send me a deck and I said yes. He offered me to create my own custom deck. I just needed to choose every single ply of the deck and an exotic bottom ply I would like to get. This was a really hard decision because he offers more than 20 exotic woods. After this I got update messages about every step the wood does. In the mold, holes and countersinks, shaping and sanding, the laser artwork, lacquer and finally the deck was on a flight from Colombia to Germany.

Blvckout Fingers is a colombian fingerboard brand. Some of you maybe remember Freak Fingerboards from Colombia? Well, the owner changed the brand to create some new project. The brand specializes in exclusive custom decks and exotic woods. On the website you could choose you bottom ply and every other ply for your deck. He only does custom decks + laser artwork on your deck. This is really a one of a kind thing.
I´ve never had a Freak Fingerboards deck, but the craftsmanship on this Blvckout deck is perfect. The shape is well defined and up to date. It was pressed in a metal mold on a hydraulic press for 24 hours. That´s a lot pop you get :-D
The deck got a nice and shiny finish. The lacquer is water-resistant and really glossy. I didn´t know about the laser artwork on the top and bottom ply before so this was a really nice surprise for me!
Overall this is just a perfect deck. I´m really happy with the plies I´ve chosen and the laser artwork on that exotic wood is deep black and precise as fuck. A really good job!
