Product Blog: ROUND|SIDE Decks – Side B Logo Deck

At the ASI Berlin contest a few weeks ago I came in touch with some fingerboarding people from Russia I did not know before. We were talking about the scene in Russia and I told about my thoughts, that the scene in Russia is growing fast at the moment because there are new companies, events and you see a lot more output from russian riders on the internet. I really like this fact.
However, even before I went to Berlin, I´ve recieved a new fingerboard deck. Surprisingly this deck was made in Russia by a guy called Nikita and his company called ROUND|SIDE Decks. I haven´t heard of ROUND|SIDE Decks before so I was really interested in fingerboarding products from Russia. Since I don´t understand the language at all, I´m not checking russian websites on daily basis. SO let´s have a look at it:
Shape:
This is the Side B mold, that means it´s mellow like a real skateboard.

This deck is a deck with a real wear graphic on it. The shape is called the SIde B mold and it´s mellow like a real skateboard. Thats something really realistic! The decks are 100% handmade and pressed in a hydraulic press with 10 tons. The package of this deck is made from cardboard. Every deck comes in such a package and includes some really cool small stickers and a sheet of tape. The package is simple and looks fancy = good job.
The shape of the deck is mellow as I said. This is something for the flatshape lovers out there! The colors of the real wear graphic are solid and the top ply is made from a really nice zebra exotic wood. All the edges on the deck are well done.
Nikita does not only make decks. There will be screw mount boardrails out soon. This graphic deck is available in some color mixes on the ROUND|SIDE website right now: Click! Support fingerboarding in Russia and show some love and likes on Instagram: @roundside
The Insta page is really creative. YOu get a closer look on how the prodcution works and what a creative guy Nikita really is. You should follow for sure!
THX a lot for this deck Nikita. The work you do for the russian scene helps the worldwide scene growing. You´re on the right way!

Product Blog: ASI Berlin X Big Beudle – Curved Slappy Brixx
July 13, 2018 by MartinB. | 2:11 pm
The history of ASI Berlin is a long one in the fingerboard scene. Big Beudl is in the scene for more than ten years too. It´s great to see, and even not for the first time, that Gretel and TKY teamed up and created some great items for fingerboarding.
The evolution of ASI Berlin BRIXX is a fast one. The first stock came up in 2014. TKY “borrowed” stones on Berlin streets and created fingerboard ramps. Some years later he started creating his first own concrete ramps with his own molds. If you follow @asi_berlin_shop you see daily new videos and every second day there is a new concrete ASI BRIXX ramp i the video. TKY and his kind of fingerboarding style are really creative so it is just normal that such a guy creates creative ramps. And the same counts for Gretel and Big Beudl. Gretel was the first person ever who created these super miniatur fingerboard parks. He released a lot of great fingerboard ramps too and supported nearly every contest.
So lets have a look at TKYs and Gretels baby. This ramp is made for slappy greatness and it´s curved too:

This ramp is made from concrete. It´s spray painted with several colors and this is the reason why this ramp got that fancy jawbreaker look. Timo made the mold for this ramp together with Gretel. This is something like a curb with slappy sides for pure slappyness with some overall curved shape. I think you got more than endless tricks to do on this on once you are into it. The Brixx logos are tagged by hand on the ramp. This gives the ramp some sort of trashyghettocredibility. Because this ramp is made from concrete it rolls perfect and the sound is squeezy. This ramp is the next step in the evolution in the history of ASI BRIXX. It´s great to see whats possible when to great people come together!
How to order? Well, Timo is working on a webshop at the moment. He told me at the ASI contest that this is a shitload of work. That means there are only two ways to order your Brixx right now. Go to the ASI Berlin Shop in Berlin or contact Timo directly on Instagram (@asi_berlin_shop) or on Facebook: Click! You can order everything via dm so you don´t need to wait till the webshop is here. Feel free and write Timo a message! With every order you help Timo to keep this place alive.
Good job Timo! Good job Gretel! I really appreciate your support over all these years!
