Welcome to Québec! Québec is a small part in the east of Canada. The main language in this part is french. Are there camels? Well, I don´t think so, but there is a brand called KamelPro Fingerboards.

KamelPro Fingerboards is a small company located in Montréal, Québec. This brand offers handmade boards and obstacles. So today we will take a look at a KamelPro Kamel graphic fingerboard deck:

Well, lets start with the craftsmanship on this deck. The shape is well pressed and clean. Each Deck is hydrolic-pressed individually in a metal mold, so the decks aren´t warped or something like this. The shape is more like a medium concave with high kicks and the deck is about 34mm wide. This shape is called the HUMP shape as you can see on the stamp on the top ply. All the decks are available in this HUMP or the AMBLE shape.

The edges of this deck are sanded correct. The kicks are clean and the middle plies are shiny.

Well, this deck was not sent to me as a b-ware deck or something like this. It was in the same package like all the other stock decks. So this deck could be sold to a normal customer as well. So let´s talk about the countersinks on this deck. These are some of the worst I´ve ever seen. Don´t get me wrong, the deck is overall OK and the holes on the top ply are OK as well. BUT the holes on the bottom ply are just horrible. I don´t know why this happened but on this deck you will have some more work to mount your trucks. I really don´t understand why the holes are sooooo horrible. On the KamelPro website and on the Instagram site all the decks look way better. Just to let you know, I´ve received two Kamel Pro Fingerboards and the countersinks on the second one are way better. Not perfect, but better.

Everything at KamelPro is handmade with the aim of offering something different in terms of design, as in realism of our boards and obstacles. The obstacles are displayed to pre-order. To armortize shipping cost, KamelPro prefers to find an agreement with each customers because in some areas the fees are super high. Note also that each obstacles may have imperfections because granite and marble are fragile materials.

Such a fingerboard deck at KamelPro is about $ 29,99. Checking out this deck with these countersinks and in comparison to all the other companies out there the price for this deck is not OK. You get better deck for less money. Maybe this deck was just a b-ware deck not to be sold and it was a fault that I´ve recieved this deck. I don´t know.

Just make yourself your own opinion and check out the KamelPro webshop: Click! and the Instagram page: @kamelprofingerboards

Anyway, thanks for sending this deck. The brand got potential and I really appreciate the work you do for the fingerboard scene in Québec. I will keep an eye on your progress. Take this product blog as a motivation to improve your decks.
