April 18, 2018 by MartinB. | 3:45 pm

Yellowood is a well known fingerboard brand from Portugal. Philippe and his company is not only known for his decks or the YStore, this brand is known for great obstacles and new product developement.

Today we will have a closer look at one of the new 2018 Yellowood ramps, the “Double Ledge”:

I had a lot of the concrete ramps from Yellowood before and was never disappointed. Concrete is really heavy and there is a high risk to break while shipping. Don´t get me wrong, none of the ramps I got broke while shipping of riding. This ramp is made from wood and granite.

The Double Ledge obstacle from Yellowood consists of two 30 cm long curbs and a green brush. It cames with the Yellowood logo and bricks stencil on the sides and the expensive african black stone on top. The granite corners are all polished so that you can grind like butter. Yellowood gave very especial attention to details making it a superb quality obstacle. The green brush which is included let you create a realistic and urban spot, use your imagination on the combinations possible. This is a true fingerskate and create obstacle. Build something or use just one of the curbs all alone. It´s your fingerboarding quality time.

The Double Ledge is in stock now. You can get it right over here: Click!

HUGE shout out to Portugal for this super dope package!

Product Blog: Yellowood – Alex Christ Pro 2018

April 5, 2018 by MartinB. | 2:34 pm

Something about one year ago Yellowood dropped their amazing 34mm deck lineup. I´ve used the YTrucks neutral deck for some more months and all I can say: 34mm is awesome. Today we will take a look at another 34mm flagship from Yellowood, the dickheads Alex Christ PRO deck for 2018:

Yellowood - Alex Christ 2018 Pro

Shape:

This deck got the reinvented z4 shape with 34mm width. The kicks on the new decks/shape are now more wide and round. Many of you got a Yellowood deck in the past and you will see and feel the difference.

What to tell about Yellowood?

Yellowood decks are well done, pro quality and the graphics are clean and sharp. This fingerboard is handmade of 5 plies of exotic premium wood. The craftmanship is professional as always at Yellowood products. This deck will last a long time with excellent performance and pop. The Yellowood quality is tested by some of the best fingerboarders worldwide. 34mm decks/wide decks aren´t something new in total. But if you combine this deck with the YTrucks X5 in 34mm you really got a gamechanger! You won´t regret buying such a new 34mm ship! I really like the width oft this deck.

What to tell about Alex Christ?

First of all, the graphic design is made by Alex Christ. Really. It could be like he´s into sucking dick? I really don’t know, but I think this is the reason and sense behind this graphic. Besides that, Alex is a pro handle helper. He can carry a complete piano with only one of his super thin arms. Besides that, he´s a fingerboarding beast. He´s the fingerboard worldchamp of our hearts! Check out some Alex Christ footage right now:

But if you want to know more about Alex and what kind of human he is, just check the hashtag #analchrist on Instagram. I think this describes him perfect.

Coming back to the deck, buy it right over here at the Yellowoodstore: Click! And if you don´t want to have Alex dickface on a deck, just get the graphic you like. More decks are available in 34mm width.

HUGE shouout to Philippe for this super dope package!

Product Blog: Yellowood – Central Curb

March 29, 2018 by MartinB. | 3:45 pm

Yellowood is a well known fingerboard brand from Portugal. But Philippe and his company is not only known for his decks or the YStore, this brand is known for great obstacles and new product developement.

Today we will have a closer look at one of the new 2018 Yellowood Ramps, the “Central Curb”:

Yellowood - Central Curb

I had a lot of the concrete ramps from Yellowood before and was never disappointed. Concrete is really heavy and there is a high risk to break while shipping. Don´t get me wrong, none of the ramps I got broke while shipping of riding. The central curb is not made from concrete, it´s made from wood. SURPRISE! This new obstacle is the result creation of a long design process from Bug Bolito and Philippe De Goyri with the intention of making a realistic looking street spot. The central curb is a full wood ramp. The bricks are just painted, but look super realistic. Sure we,ve seen a lot of planter curbs in the past, but the overall look of this curb is a 10/10! Because this ramp is made from wood it´s more lightweight. But that doesn´t mean it´s sliding around, there are nonslider on the bottom for sure.

The brush in the middle is removable and includes a little led light for your night sessions and a even more realistic look. Thinking about wood and a fingerboard ramp you always think about grip. Ya all know that feeling of sliding with urethane wheels on a Brr ramp. On this central curb the sliding is totally different. You don´t “feel” that these curbs are made from wood. It´s sliding like butter and the sound is clean. I´ve had a lot fingerboard ramps in my fingerboarding life but never had a surface like this on a wooden ramp.

This ramps is available for 40 Euro only at the Yellowoodstore: Click! This is really cheap for a obstacle of this size and this surface on top.

THANKS a lot Philippe for this continuous support!

Product Blog: Yellowood – No Fingerboarding Sign

March 26, 2018 by MartinB. | 6:09 pm

Fingerboarding needs to be realistic? Well, no. Your park needs to be realistic? Well, no again. It does not need to be realistic but your park is way cooler if it is.

In these days you see a lot artists on instagram creating miniature streets, buildings and stuff like this. These artworks are perfect to be combined with your fingerboard ramps. If you´re not patient enough to create your own stuff, just upgrade your park with some cool items. Yellowood just released such a cool item – The no fingerboarding sign:

Yellowood - No Fingerboarding Sign

This classic “No Skateboarding” sign is made of hard plastic with silkscreen design. You could easily put it in your wallet, take it always with you and use it as a kicker. So you got the most partable item for street fingerboarding in your pocket.
