Finding the right way isn´t always easy. To navigate like a real hipster in these days, you don´t need a fancy GPS watch or something like that, you only need a compass. Be the adventure and stuff like this. Well, I think everyone of you guys know what a compass is. And to be honest, this intro to this product blog doesn´t make sense at all because this product blog is not about navigation or stuff like that, it´s about a great fingerboard deck for your next fingerboarding adventure. Btw I´m using a GPS watch for sure :-D
So you found this product blog so you found the right way into the fingerboard scene. Thats the right direction! The right direction is what Jared does with his company called Northwoods. Jared is in the scene for some more years than most of you and some years ago I´ve met him once in my lifetime in Berlin. He´s a open minded and fucking friendly guy. If you´re a woman you will fall in love with him for sure :-D
Northwoods is a fingerboarder owned company. Like the most other companies. Jared started with in a small room designing and creating fingerboard gear. So let´s have a look at the new and hot splitply series made by Northwoods:
Shape:
This deck is made with the new and lower mini shape (96mm x 33mm). It has the Northwoods sweetridge concave as previous generations. The one of a kind, ergonomic concave hugs your fingers while offering sweet spots throughout the length of the board to encourage consistent setup and performance. This is not my first Northwoods deck and I can tell you, you get used to this shape pretty quick. The POWERLINE core is twice as dense and rigid as our maple layers providing strength, shape retention and pop.
