October 28, 2010 by MartinB. | 8:00 am

Wupperworkshop owner Anton cant go to Flexible Fingers 1 but wants to show some support to the Netherlands and asked me to take two decks to the event to pimp up the prizes. No problem for me!
Normally I would take the pictures outdoors on the good old table, but it´s raining. So lets start with those indoor Wupper shots:

.
So on, those Wupperworkshop decks are in my bag NOW and they will travel with me to the contest. Thx Anton for the support!

If you want to buy a Wupperworkshop deck and give some support back to Anton, a deck costs 25€ + shipping (Germany 3€ /Worldwide 6€). You can buy them from Anton on events, on fingerboard.de and threw this email adress: wupperworkshop@gmx.net . Size: 2,9cm x 10,1cm / many colors and special veneers available / awesome craftsmanship.

FBTV Interview – Jay Linehan0

October 27, 2010 by MartinB. | 7:32 am

Hello Jay! Tell us about who you are, where you from and whats your
daily business.

Hello, Martin! My name is Jay Linehan, I’m 19 years old. I live in New
Hampshire, a small state in the North East of the US. I’m currently
studying graphic design, and in my spare time I like to fingerboard,
skateboard, spend time with my friends, and take photographs.

How do you get in touch with fingerboarding?

I’ve been fingerboarding for about 8 years now, and I still love it as
much now as I did back when I started, but with my studies becoming
more and more time consuming I sometimes find I have no time to
fingerboard. When I do have the time, a nice session with some good
music is really relaxing. I really enjoy fingerboarding on a social
level, I try my best to make it to all of the Rendezvous events that
Mike holds, and I try to make it to a few European events each year.

Whats your current setup?

I ride a Berlinwood flatshape 32mm with Riptape, Blackriver Trucks,
Flatface BRR edition wheels, and I put about 4 small washers inside
the back of each wheel to make the trucks wide enough for my boards.

What is your favorite trick?

My favorite tricks to do are Hurricanes, and Hardflips. Lately my
favorite mini ramp trick is doing FS Disasters.

Do you have any favorite rider or a video that influenced you?

I have a lot of favorite riders, but my all time favorite is Durku.
His style just rules, and he is one of the nicest guys ever. If you
haven’t seen ‘Burning Barcelona’, go look it up. Other favorites are
Dietschi, another awesome style and personality, Winkler for the same
reasons, and I guess that Elias Assmuth guy is alright sometimes. Oh
yeah, Zac Mclean and Matt Lieber are my homies too! Too many people
are my favorites. Basically good personality + good style is a
favorite for me.

Which fingerboard experience you liked the most (contest/jam/session)?

My favorite event is probably my first Euro contest, Fingaspektakel.
The event was so chilled and awesome, really good times. Big thanks to
Emil for inviting us last year. Everyone was really nice and I met a
lot of my close friends at the event, people like Pütz, Andre, Paolo,
Daniele, Dimitar, etc. Good times! Hopefully next year we’ll all be
back in Steyr.

And finally do you want to thank someone?

Of course, I want to thank a lot of people! Schnike Meider, Timo
Lieben, Martin & Denise, Harry, Emil, Dietschi, Hansen, Elias, Durku,
Winkler, Pütz, Zac Mclean, Lieber M. Lieber, John Cowart, Andre,
Paolo, Daniele, Mitko, Tim Alexiel, Christian Deso, Alex Gill, you for this interview and anyone else I totally forgot about! You guys know who you are!

THX Jay!

The trucks are not important, but the print on them is awesome!
