Last week I´ve received a letter from the german customs. The letter was a notification that a package from Indonesia is waiting for me at the customs. Every time I get such a letter I need a really good story, why this package is a gift and I don´t have any bill or something.
This is the reason why I mostly say, handwritten messages in the package make the story more easy for me :-D
Well the package was sent by Planktoon. I´ve opened it at the customs office, so this was the reason why there was no livestream unboxing on the @fingerboardTV instagram channel. Next time I should do this even at the customs office :-D
Well, let’s start with item number one of this package. The first part is a set of the new “sparkling” wheels from ROOL Wheels. Check them out:

This set of Rool Wheels is a set of single bearing wheels for your fingerboard. The size of the wheels is small and the cut of the wheels is really round. You got the basic chocolate color with some glitter on the front. The wheelsystem is the centralized single bearing system and the wheels are made of the finest indonesian urethane.
The wheels fit perfect on Blackriver and Rebirth ONE trucks. For other trucks like TOP Trucks, RB-Z and YTrucks you need extender to use these wheels. You can get awesome extender at fingerboardstore.de: Click!

Some more days ago I´ve received a really surprising little package. A letter from Matt! Matt is the owner of Joycult Wheels from Canada. As some of you have seen at the unboxing on the livestream on the fingerboardTV instagram account, in the package there was a set of the brand new Joycult “Skyrocks”. Vecause of the super dope mega colorway, the Skyrocks are some kind of unofficial fingerboardTV edition ;-) Check them ooooouuuut:

“Joycult wheels are handmade in Brantford Ontario Canada by Matt Watkinson. From face to bearing, duro to duro, Joycult wheels are designed to handle all terrains. Durometer is a rating system for which hardness is determined. The higher the number, the harder the “thane”. 70D is harder, a bit more responsive and designed for sliding more efficiently on rough terrain. 60D is the softer of the two, but, I wouldn’t call them soft by any means. They a are slightly more grippy and although they will perform well on rough surfaces too, these were designed with smooth surfaces in mind. Joycult Urethane has been carefully formulated and perfected to create a truly unique feeling under your fingers.”
What could I tell you about the wheels? The wheels look perfect. You really feel the softness and they fit on YTrucks and even on Blackriver-Trucks without glue (single bearing). Joycult 60D´s are grippy and perform great on every surface. You should get a set!

Not that long ago I ´ve started chatting with @redwolffb on instagram. Keelan is the head behind this insta acoount and even some more stuff. Red Wolf FBS and Wysocki Wheels. You´re thinking what the fuck? Where came the name Wysocki from? Well, Keelan, the owner, is called Wysocki with his last name. So he asked me to do a review about his all new and redesigned Wysocki Wheels and I said yes. So check out the Wysocki Wheels “Midnight Emerald:

As I told you in the beginning of this post, these Wysocki Wheels are the all new and redesigned version. The wheels are on the marked for long time in generell, but Keelan stopped the “old production” and invented everything new. He got a fully new product with this version and now it´s possbile to choose the wheelsize, the durometer, the amount of bearings (single/dual) and the color for sure. You´re not a fan of this colorway? Well, no problem! Check out the other colors:

Doing a comparison to other wheels is always hard. The Wysocki Wheels remind me totally to Joycult wheels. But the urethane is harder and the bearing in the wheels (single bearing) is centralized. So this is the point you´re coming closer to Oak wheels, but these wheels are not as hard as Oak´s. So the Wysocki wheels are the solution between Joycult and Oak – based on size, the urethane and the position of the bearing (my opinion). The wheels are perfect made for Blackriver or Dynamic trucks. On YTrucks you will need some FBS spacer for the perfect rolling.
Another thing I need to tell you, I´m still surprised how quick the wheelset was shipped to my mailbox. Only a few days for half the globe? While christmastime??? Not bad!

Some more days ago I´ve received a package from Canada. In the package was a set of wheels and a handwritten message from Matt:

What could I tell you about the wheels? The wheels look perfect. You really feel the softness and they fit on YTrucks and even on Blackriver-Trucks without glue (single bearing). The frostie glow color is semi-transparent and the wheels glow in the dark! You get a little cat sticker with every set of wheels for sure. #meow
The shipping from Canada to Germany only took 5 days. In my opinion this was really quick and they arrived well packed in my mailbox. The wheels cost 40 USD per set and you can choose between some more colors and even some harder or softer wheels. But to be honest: You really need to hurry up when the stock is online! One it´s posted it´s sold out really really quick! This brand is really new to the scene and just kicked ass in a really short time! After the golden ticket Matt is holding a video contest at the moment to push the scene forward. Check out the info:

Well, summer is coming, hopefully. Get you damn glasses on buddy! A really cool detail on all Yellowood sunglasses: the Yellowood sign is mounted with Yellowood/YTrucks screw to the frame. I really appreciate details like this :-)
These glasses aren´t available at the moment. And I really don´t know, if they will be back in stock sometime soon or this is just an older part of the Yellowood product range. Maybe some of you know, I´m an Ywheels and Ytrucks teamrider. So I´m a glad mofo getting all the new stuff straight outta Porto. Check out the performance of YWheels in combination with YTrucks and a Flint board at the Playground at first:
On this limited edition Ywheels series Philippe thought about:

The bearings are strong enough too. Never had an exploding bearing even after the highest concrete gaps. You won´t have any problems stepping back to your homepark after hard outdoor sessions. Let me tell you something more about the bushings. Many colors available, they fit on Blackriver and on YTrucks, you could order them on instagram (@chubzbushing.co) and the bushings got a damn good pushback. Compared to the TKY bushings Chubz are soft as the TKY´s but got a stronger pushback so the truck will center itself all the time. I don´t know what sort of gum this is, but it works really well!
