Philippe from Yellowood asked me if I need some new fingerboard stuff. He sents me a big package with more stuff than I wanted. #happyme So I was able to setup a full new setup. Maybe you have seen it on Instagram? If not follow @fingerboardTV
Today we will take a look at one main part of a fingerboard setup. The trucks. Good trucks are important for a good fingerboard and I like them even more, when the color fits to the board. The YTrucks X5 in chrome with gold baseplate are super sexy trucks. Check them out:

Personally I prefere trucks with a colored baseplate and a chrome/silver hangar. At the moment I´m riding these trucks with the blue baseplate. As I said in the introduction, check out my latest setup on Instagram.

This is stage 5 of the YTrucks design. The new mold size is TRUE 34MM and it´s improved at the stress points from previous versions. Making the X5 the most advanced truck made to date. The stainless steel axle also has longer thread so you can use a larger variety of wheels without wobbles. These wider trucks have a lower center of gravity making your setup more stable on pop, grind and landing.
And it´s true. I´ve mounted the first set of X5 Ytrucks to my deck something about three or four years ago and I still feel the difference to smaller trucks. I never thought such two mm will give you something like a new fingerboard feeling. I really like how the trucks perform, grind and work and there was no problem to mount them to the deck. And if the color fits to your board you are in heaven. These trucks work just awesome! Never stepped back from the 34mm experience! As a special clue YTrucks now offer softer bushings (not shown on the pictures). These bushings are soft as f*ck and not the normal o-rings anymore. A nice little upgrade for these trucks. But just to let you now, most of the bushings on the market fit to YTrucks as well and perfom great. Don´t be afraid, just try something new.

Last week I´ve received a package from Yellowood straight outta Portugal. Philippe reinvented the Yellowood shape and the size oft he new decks and sent me a welcome 34mm deluxe package.
The deck in this package is the Yellowood „YTrucks Neutral“ graphic deck. Check that beast out:
The colors are soft, nice and the graphic is 100% on point.

These are the classic Yellowood plies! This deck got the new and reinvented z4 shape with 34mm width.

The kicks on the new decks/shape are now more wide and round. Many of you got a Yellowood deck in the past and you will see an feel the difference. Yellowood decks are well done, pro quality and the graphics are clean and sharp. This fingerboard is handmade of 5 plies of exotic premium wood. The craftmanship is professional as always at Yellowood products. This deck will last a long time with excellent performance and pop. The Yellowood quality is tested by some of the best fingerboarders worldwide. 34mm decks/wide decks aren´t something new in total. But if you combine this deck with the new YTrucks X5 in 34mm you really got a gamechanger! You won´t regret buying such a new 34mm ship! I really ike this graphic and the width oft the deck. Some more days ago I received a package straight outta Porto. The first part was the Yellowood “magic fingers” decks with the new Yellowood shape (read it). Today we got some new Ytrucks colorway right over here: the YTrucks Petr Ptáček:
Petr is the latest member of the YTrucks team and he got his own colorway now. Just to let you know, folks, I´ve combined two sets of trucks on my latest setup (Jesus) and got the same colorway even before Petr. ;-) :-*

These trucks fit on every fingerboard deck. You could even put single- and dualbearing wheels on. If you use single bearing wheels you could add the new washer form fingerboardstore.de:
“With the FBS Ytrucks Spacers you can use single bearing wheels like Oak Wheels or Winkler Wheels on your Ytrucks. Ytrucks are designed to be used with dual bearing wheels, so they have a longer axle than f.e. Blackriver Trucks.
The problem: Your single bearing wheels slide on the Ytrucks axle and therefore they can’t roll perfectly.
The solution: FBS Ytrucks Spacer! The Spacers replace the 2nd bearing and you can use you Oak Wheels, Winkler Wheels or other single bearing wheels on your Ytrucks.”
This makes your trucks even a bit wider. Buy them: Click! You don´t need to glue anything in, just set them on your board and you are ready to ride. Perfect use with some YWheels ;-)

Product Blog – South Soft Bushings – YTrucks Edition

Some days ago I´ve received a letter from Spain. I didn´t expect this package this quick! In the package was a letter from Jorge. Jorge is the owner from South Soft bushings. South Soft is one of the newest bushing brands on the market. So lets have a look on the new South Soft YTrucks edition! Jorge sent me three sets of sexy bushings for my YTrucks:

I´ve mounted the royal blue ones on my YTrucks. As you can see on the picture I really need to set up a new deck after all these hitting the streets videos. :-D

Things you need to know about these bushings:
1. They don´t need a washer because they can resist the impact of each trick.
2. The top bshings has a more conic like shape.
3. The bottom bushing has a different shape to the top bushing. This shape has been made to resist the preasure of your fingers while landing some sick ass moves.
Jorges plan on South Soft was to make good fingerboard bushings. Onkel Urban (his lates teammember) told me before that these bushings have a really good pushback. He received his first set at Pateo and only told me good things. Onkel Urban is a good source for fingerboard products. Even if he has no Nacken, he won´t tell you bullshit.The fact he told me about the pushback is true (there is a video on the Southsoft instagram). My trucks are way better with these bushings. They are soft, the pushback is really strong and good and the colors of all the sets are really solid. If you don´t use YTrucks you can get these bushings for Blackriver-Trucks as well. I got my hands on a lot of bushings in the last few years and I can tell you: buy these, you won´t regret!

I think all the bushings will be sold out in the first few hours. This is a really good product and Jorge is a really nice dude. Damn good bushings.
