Product Blog: Lucha Wheels – Huracan LIGHT BLUE

October 7, 2018 by MartinB. | 6:59 am

A few weeks ago I´ve received a letter from sunny California. Blaklist Fingerboards are based in Cali and Ryan and Tom founded a new company for their lineup of premium wheels. The company is called Lucha Wheels. Lucha is the Spanish word for fighting and this is a good reason why the logo of the wheels is the mask of a Spanish/Mexican wrestler. Lucha Libre is a professional form of wrestling as some of you might know.

Well, fingerboarding is not about wrestling and fighting, but the struggle is real when you try to land the hardest tricks.

So let’s have a look at the Huracan wheels made by Lucha Wheels in light blue:

Lucha Wheels - Huracan LIGHT BLUE

Shape:

The wheels are poured and shaped by hand in California. The wheels are made from 75D ure-thane with single bearings inside.

And one more:

Lucha Wheels - Huracan LIGHT BLUE

Light blue is the fingerboardTV color in some ways so I really like the fact that I´ve recieved the wheels in this color. If you like classic white wheels more, Lucha Wheels are available in nine colors on the website. The wheels are made from hand poured from 75D urethane.
The hand lathed shape was a goal of Ryan and Tom, the right amount of love and attention has been given to every wheel and bearing. Lucha Wheels are the right hardness for great control in parks or on the street.

Ryan and Tom researched and developed for a long time to get the right formula for the wheels. Now the wheels have the right amount of grip and perfect measurements. 100% made in USA! I mean, just check the pictures. hese urethane wheels look clean as fuck!

The bearings are something new. These are called the Lucha Grip no-slip bearings. The bearings are made in the USA and are designed to work percet with every sort of fingerboard trucks. The wheels don´t have a back wall, so you can shred them on YTrucks as well. The bearing won´t slip out of the wheels!

Ryan and Tom researched and developed for a long time to get the right formula for the wheels. Now the wheels have the right amount of grip and perfect measurements and are ready for the scene. You don´t design and produce a good fingerboard wheels in one week so the development come to an end and the wheels are available now: Click!
Huracan is btw the name of the Maya god of fire, wind and storm. Be a storm and show some love at the Blaklist Instagram page: @blaklistboards and at the Lucha Wheels Instagram page: @luchawheels

THX a lot for this set of wheels Ryan and Tom. These are made damn good and the stock will be probably sold out quick! Keep it up guys!

Product Blog: Dirty Fingerboards – Single Bearing Bowl Edition Black

September 23, 2018 by MartinB. | 8:20 am

A few days ago I´ve presented to you the groundbreaking BRT dual conversion kit made by Dirty Fingerboards. As I told you in my previous product blog, this was a big demand of the fingerboard scene.

Besides to this great new product, Dirty Fingerboards got more to offer in their product lineup. Fingerboard decks get more creative shapes than ever in these days so you really need the right wheels for the right boards. You can get minis, streetwheels, big wheels, small once, nylon wheels, urethane wheels, plastic wheels, bowl wheels and some more.

Today we will take a look at the Dirty Fingerboards bowl edition wheels:

And one more:

Dirty Fingerboards - Bowl Wheels Single Bearing Black

Bowl wheels are, like boardrails for example, more hyped than ever in the fingerboard scene. As I said in the introduction, you can get a fingerboard deck in a really crazy shape, but this doesn´t fit perfect with small wheels. In this case you need some big and solid bowl wheels for sure. So bowl wheels are not only made for all the bowl shredders out there. You don´t need the Vans kneesocks to ride these wheels :-D

These wheels are made from dense plastic. The wheels are CNC drilled. That means every wheel is the same and you get a perfect round shape, no wobbeling and clean and good performance. If you´re a beginner in riding bowls these wheels makes more sense for you than urethane wheels with way more grip.

These wheels are available in two single bearing versions. You can get 6 different colors and two types of bearing. There is a Abec5 version right over here: Click! and a Abec7 edition right over here: Click! The only difference between the versions is the bearing. So you can get the Abec5 version for a cheaper price than the Abec7 pro version. Both versions have a centralized system and work perfect together with Blackriver and Dynamic Trucks, For YTrucks you should add the great FBS washer.

THX a lot Karlo! The next procut blog will be up soon!

Product Blog: DJERSEY – HARD BUSHINGS

August 18, 2018 by MartinB. | 11:32 am

At the ASI Berlin contest a few weeks ago I came in touch with some fingerboarding people from Russia I did not know before. We were talking about the scene in Russia and I told about my thoughts, that the scene in Russia is growing fast at the moment because there are new companies, events and you see a lot more output from russian riders on the internet. I really like this fact and today fingerboardTV is back in Russia. After a product break in California and the Philippines we´re back in Russia with another russian company: DJERSEY. I´ve received a letter from DJERSEY (DJRS) fingerboards from Moscow, Russia. The package includes everything you need for a great fingerboard. Today we will have a look at the first Item: The DJERSEY – HARD BUSHINGS:

DJERSEY - Fingerboard Truck Tuning

Shape:

More:

And one more:

These bushings fits on every kingpin on every truck. But they work perfect together with YTrucks or Dynamics. The bushings are basically O-Rings. But these are hard and not as soft as the O-Rings you know. The package of these bushings is just genious. I really like this little bottle with the cork on it. This set is about 7$ (includes shipping). The only way to order is a DM on Instagram at the moment. I really don´t know if a webshop is planed but a short DM is a fast way to order something cool for your fingerboard. So get in contact with @djrs_fb on Instagram now!

This was part one of the DJERSEY package, I will do a review about the deck and the wheels soon.

Product Blog: Dislocation – 65D

May 2, 2018 by MartinB. | 4:46 pm

Something abot two weeks ago I´ve recieved a letter from Australia. I was really surprised again about this letter, because I didn´t know that something from Australia was on the way to my home. The fingerboarding scene in Australia is small for such a big country I think. There are only a few fingerboarders I know and only a few fingerboard companies. Not that much at all. This package was sent by Jye, the owner of Dislocation. Dislocation is well known for some of the best fingerboard boardrails on the market. But good boardrails are not the only thing you need for a good fingerboard! You need some good wheels too.

I´m proud to review the very first fingerboard wheels from Australia! The brand new professional 65D:

Dislocation - Fingerboard Wheels

Shape:

The size is about 6.8mm x 4.3mm .

And one more:

Dislocation - Fingerboard Wheels

Lets say fuck yeah for the first professional fingerboard wheels from Australia. These wheels got a size of 6.8mm x 4.3mm and are made from 65D urethane. 70D wheels are availabe on the website as well. The 65D version is only available in black and white and I´m sorry to say, but the white wheels are sold out at the moment. A new stock will be up the webiste soon. These wheels are single bearing with a center set bearing. The wheels are compatible with BRT and Dynamics without glue or something on you nuts. For YTrucks you need the classic FBS spacer.

With vigours testing years of prototypes and lots of love behind each set

These wheels are bound to make your world roll smooth and fast. The wheels are cast from the finest urethane. The legend about the urethane for these wheels is, that the urethane comes from super-secret laboratories on the moon. The shape of the wheels is 100% clean and accurate and the bearings are perfect in the center. The wheels come from Australia with love in a little box. Good job!

Well, these wheels cost 44,95 $ and are available right over here: Click! If you don´t need wheels at this time, just browse around and get some fancy boardrails or other stuff you need for your fingerboard. Dislocation not only having a webiste, there is a Insta page as well: @dislocationfb

So if you thought Australia is only about kangaroos, then you´re wrong, MATE!

THANKS a lot for these perfect wheels Jye. I really can´t wait to see whats coming next!

Product Blog: Cartwheels – Cartcores Nylon White

April 24, 2018 by MartinB. | 5:45 am

About two weeks ago I´ve received a letter from Simon. Simon is the owner of Cartwheels, a company based in the UK. A few days ago I´ve done the first review about the black nylon cartcores. Today we will have a look at the Cartwheels Cartcores Nylon in white:

Cartwheels - Cartcores White

Shape:

The wheels are bigger than the old Cartwheels and bigger than YWheels for example. The size is more like the Fatman Winkler´s.

And one more:

Cartwheels - Cartcores White

Now you have the ultimate realistic skate wheel look! These wheels look like Autobahn/Ricta wheels like no ther. The wheels consist out of the black part, the cores and two bearings. Ya heard right, these wheels are dual bearing wheels. Perfect for my Ytrucks! If you like other trucks, the wheels are available as single bearing version too. The wheels are made of some really hard nylon stuff. If you ride urethane wheels normally, these wheels have a shit load of extra speed for your fingers. The cores in these wheels are yellow and pink – so fucking fancy. There are a lot more color combos available on the website. Just take what you need. This colorway reminds me to Studio 54 and all the other neon stuff from back in the days. I´ve used a set of the wheels for a few days now. The hard nylon performs perfect on real streets and in your fingerboard park. Don´t worry about the word “hard” the wheels are smooth as fuck and roll like butter.

Why do I like these core wheels more than others? Well, there are other core wheels on the market. But most of the cores are just straight and the wheels look like the old Eurollt wheels. These cores have a realistic shape and let the wheels look like the old Ricta skate wheels.

These wheels are available NOW. Get them over here: Click! At the moment you will get some free stuff with every order. If you haven´t heard about Cartwheels up to now, you´re probably new to fingerboarding. If you´re interested in these wheels, just check out #cartwheels on Instagram. You will see a lot riders using these wheels! And if you´re once on Instagram, give Simon a follow: @cartwheelsfb – you won´t regret buying them! Get the core!

THANKS a lot Simon! As I said, your support is appreciated man. I´m sorry the review took so long, but I wanted to test the wheels and I´m a dad now. The days are short!

Product Blog: Cartwheels – Cartcores Nylon Black

April 21, 2018 by MartinB. | 12:10 pm

About two weeks ago I´ve received a letter from Simon. Simon is the owner of Cartwheels, a company based in the UK. In the past he sents me a set of his “normal” bearing wheels (read the review). Since then Simon improved the wheelgame a lot! Today we will have a look at the Cartwheels Cartcores in black:

In my opinion Simon should call these the Blackroll collabo edition. If you are into sports you will have a blackroll at home for sure and the black part of these wheels totally remind me to the Blackroll look. The cores in these wheels are white and green. There are a lot more color combos available on the website. Just take what you need. This colorway could be easily the Borussia Mönchengladbach colorway. Borussia is my hometown soccer club. If you are into soccer you will probably know club.

Product Blog: Yellowood – Alex Christ Pro 2018

April 5, 2018 by MartinB. | 2:34 pm

Something about one year ago Yellowood dropped their amazing 34mm deck lineup. I´ve used the YTrucks neutral deck for some more months and all I can say: 34mm is awesome. Today we will take a look at another 34mm flagship from Yellowood, the dickheads Alex Christ PRO deck for 2018:

Yellowood - Alex Christ 2018 Pro

Shape:

Yellowood - Alex Christ 2018 Pro

This deck got the reinvented z4 shape with 34mm width. The kicks on the new decks/shape are now more wide and round. Many of you got a Yellowood deck in the past and you will see and feel the difference.

And one more:

Yellowood - Alex Christ 2018 Pro

What to tell about Yellowood?

Yellowood decks are well done, pro quality and the graphics are clean and sharp. This fingerboard is handmade of 5 plies of exotic premium wood. The craftmanship is professional as always at Yellowood products. This deck will last a long time with excellent performance and pop. The Yellowood quality is tested by some of the best fingerboarders worldwide. 34mm decks/wide decks aren´t something new in total. But if you combine this deck with the YTrucks X5 in 34mm you really got a gamechanger! You won´t regret buying such a new 34mm ship! I really like the width oft this deck.

What to tell about Alex Christ?

First of all, the graphic design is made by Alex Christ. Really. It could be like he´s into sucking dick? I really don’t know, but I think this is the reason and sense behind this graphic. Besides that, Alex is a pro handle helper. He can carry a complete piano with only one of his super thin arms. Besides that, he´s a fingerboarding beast. He´s the fingerboard worldchamp of our hearts! Check out some Alex Christ footage right now:

But if you want to know more about Alex and what kind of human he is, just check the hashtag #analchrist on Instagram. I think this describes him perfect.

Coming back to the deck, buy it right over here at the Yellowoodstore: Click! And if you don´t want to have Alex dickface on a deck, just get the graphic you like. More decks are available in 34mm width.

HUGE shouout to Philippe for this super dope package!

Product Blog: Ywheels – Y3 DualW 65D Graphic Pink

April 3, 2018 by MartinB. | 8:31 am

Ywheels dropped some harder 65D wheels something about one year ago. Now these wheels are available as a limited edition with a handpainted graphic on. So check out the new Y3 DualW 65D wheels:

Ywheels - Y3 DualW 65D Graphic Pink

Shape:

Footage:

And one more:

Ywheels - Y3 DualW 65D Graphic Pink

The Y3 DualW are harder than the Y2 wheels. These wheels are now about 65D. If you know the Y2 wheels, these are soft and grippy. If you ride a lot on concrete or marble surfaces, the soft version is just perfect. But I agree if you don´t like to ride the on wood because these wheels got so much grip. Not a bad thing at all, but every fingerboarder got his own opinion.

– Limited edition
– Hand painted graphic technique developed by Yellowood
– Urethane Hardness, Shore 65D The hardest wheels we make
– Diameter 7,6mm.
– Optimized relation grip/slide for better performance.
– Realistic wheel design.
– Dual bearings have more contact in the axle, making the wheel more stable, with less wobbles and no jamming.
– Dual bearings ABEC 7 with lubricated cream. Shield on one of the sides.
– Designed to fit perfectly on Ytrucks.
– Professional lathered for smooth ride.

I´m riding these wheels for something about one year. EVERYWHERE! On real concrete streets, on wood, on every surface I fingerboard. There are no flatspots and the bearings work fine. These are some high quality fingerboard wheels you could just use everywhere for a long time. You still have that urethane feeling. Get a set, you won´t regret. These wheels last long.

Get them right over here: Click!

THANKS again boiiiiiiiis!
